Police Officer Hit by Car on Uxbridge Road


Was assisting at scene of earlier crash in which woman was hurt

A police officer has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on the Uxbridge Road in Ealing.

The officer was assisting at the scene of an earlier collision between two cars in which a woman was injured shortly after 4:43am on Friday morning (2 January).

The emergency services were already on the scene when a third vehicle hit the officer who was setting up a cordon.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with the officer brought by colleagues. Both were reported to have injuries that were assessed as being neither life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made in relation to either collision.

The police are asking anyone who has information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries to contact 101 quoting CAD 890/2Jan.
