A second suspect has been charged and remanded into custody following a retail theft investigation in Ealing, after officers identified her during ongoing enquiries into the theft of approximately £1,200 worth of goods from an unnamed local business.

The arrest was made by officers from the Town Centre Team working alongside My Local Bobbies. My Local Bobbies (MLB) is a private neighbourhood security service that provides high -visibility patrols, crime prevention work and offender targeting in partnership with local police, councils and business groups. They are not part of the Metropolitan Police, but they often work alongside police teams

Police confirmed that the woman was also wanted for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), and officers acted quickly to locate and detain her.

Following her arrest, she was charged with offences linked to the investigation including the CBO breach, and remanded into custody. She is due to appear in court in due course.

The update follows an earlier arrest on 24 October, when officers detained a male suspect also linked to the same investigation. He was wanted in connection with multiple offences across Ealing.

Officers located him during proactive patrols in the town centre. Police said he resisted arrest and attempted to flee, prompting additional units to assist. After a prolonged struggle, he was safely detained.

He has since been charged with offences relating to the investigation, remanded into custody, and made subject to a CBO application. He remains in custody and is due to appear before court shortly.

Police said both arrests demonstrate the value of proactive neighbourhood policing, local intelligence and partnership working in identifying and pursuing repeat offenders. The Town Centre Team reiterated its commitment to tackling retail crime, supporting businesses and addressing behaviour that negatively affects the community.
