Dental implant surgeon?

Which is a good dental practice for implants - is there a good one in Ealing?

GerryAny Dentist would refer you to one. However you can save yourself a small fortune by going to a Hungarian practice.  I used one in Battersea and saved a fortune, and the work was excellent.Its even cheaper if you take a flight to Budapest. The cost of the work I was offered  was in the realms of £2k-3k as opposed to £6k I was offered in Ealing.

Too true.The costs vary tremendously. My own dentist wanted £2800 for a molar implant. The second dentist I saw saved the tooth and crowned it for £600.

Thanks Adrian.  Our dentist has recommended that we go to either of two he knows, both of whom do nothing but implants and he says they are experienced as opposed to himself. I've heard of implant surgery in certain Eastern European countries, which is acceptable and reasonable in costs, but we would like more experiences from other satisfied patients. Thanks for your input.

Would be interested to hear experiences / cost - Nigel and others. Was eating a mars type bar the other evening, and suddenly bit on something hard, which at first looked like a piece of metal - visions of a complaint and free case of mars bars!. Soon realised was a tooth filling. After dentist visit find rest of tooth is rotten, and needs to come out - or an implant can be put in. Currently have temporary filling, and go back next week.

ChrisMy original dentist, who I shall not name, wanted to extract the tooth, let it settle and then offered me an implant for 'around £2800'.He did not want to do the complex extraction and referred me via the NHS dentistry referral service.I was apprehensive as the dentist they came up with was in Feltham.Could not have been more wrong about this. The guy there was superb offered me an implant at over £1000 less than my original dentist but thought that he could root fill, build and crown which he did for £800.I would get a second opinion as a matter of course.Don't have an extraction next week it will ruin Christmas as the 'socket' will take a few weeks to heal.
