Is there a good tattoo artist shop(clinic) in the West London area? They must be efficient, hygienic, painfree and not too expensive please - and very experienced.

Re-living your youth, Gerry?! Can't help I'm afraid, but from the experience of plenty of friends you'll struggle to find a pain-free tattoo!

George Bone opposite Wickes on Boston Rd.

How about trial period with transfers in case you change your mind Gerry? And hopefully on areas of the body that would normally be covered up on a job interview..
Philip Coe ● 4288d
Yes, George has been there for years and years.

Ha ha Ann, would love to re-live my youth - halcyon days they were. I had a strict, narrow and blinkered upbringing and was told tattooing was for "certain types". Is it really painful?
Gerry Tan ● 4288d
Not painful in the slightest. Hard to describe, but I guess the nearest comparison would be it feels a little like sunburn.

What are your opinions(pros and cons) about tattoos and body decoration? I'd be very interested to know.
Gerry Tan ● 4287d
Discreet and not generally visible and done for personal reasons for me. What are you thinking of having done Gerry?
Keith Iddon ● 4287d
I'm toying with the notion of having a dicreet one fashioned somewhere on my pperson, but can't decided firmly Keith.
I have one at the top of my right arm which I designed myself. It looks like a small plate that might be riveted on a machine and says 'Made in England by Bill and Teresa' and also a small red heart with two teardrops coming from it over where my heart(supposedly!) is. I had them done by George Bone when I live in St. Mark's Rd Hanwell.
May I be so bold as to ask, have you been in the Royal Navy Keith?
No Gerry..why do you ask?
Most matelots we know have a tattoo somewhere on them.
I think the net has widened in the last 20 years Gerry.
Does Geo Bone cause much discomfort when he tattoos?
A little Gerry but if you are looking for a totally pain free tattoo stick to the transfers.
Keith Iddon ● 4286d
Ah, but transfers aren't the real McCoy. I think about it further.

Tattoos cause a lot of frustration to your white blood cells, they spend their life trying to eat it but can't because the ink granules are too big. :)
