Thanks Chaps! I was trying to upload some old photos of Ealing in the '30s and 40s and yes Fred flickr has changed the format and it remains a mystery to me,as does iPhoto on the Mac,that's changed as well. They have to fiddle with things! Nice picture of the Viaduct by the way.

Tony, select photo on flickr, bottom right share photo, click HTML, select size (medium), copy link and paste here -
Thank you Fred I'll try that later. Do you have to make the picture "public" in Flickr? If so I'll start a new album,I can't imagine anyone else wanting to see 300,000 pictures of grandkids.

Trouble is even if you can view it yourself, it does not appear as an image on other viewers. Either a ? mark box or a link which does not work or a load of data scramble.Considering how easy it is on virtually every other platform, it's a shame this is so fiddly and time consuming.Then again, words are not such a bad thing and reading them.
