The one of the family playing on a windy day that was outside of Boots, has it gone permanently ? I rather liked it.

I liked it too My late mother when on holiday with me used to sit there while I did the shopping. Hope it is replaced to keep that memory alive.

Our children and grandchildren used to play on this bronze sculpture, although we never liked the piece as an example of municiple art!

Looks like the black horse bronze sculpture next to HSBC has been removed as well.

I liked both these pieces of sculpture and was wondering whether they were going to be replaced after the works had finished.

Are you sure they both haven't been nicked for scrap?

Or lost for scrap?
Has anyone checked ebay? We all know how desperate this council is for cash.

The kids always loved the sculptures, wanting to join in with the family and ride the horse. the plinths were high enough to deter though.

Just seen the horse. Still there.
That is good news Andrew. As mentioned previously my late mother used to sit opposite the statue while I did the shopping . I always stand on the carpark stairs and look down with that fond memeory of her always chatting away to someone or other.

Andrew really pleased you responded promptly to my email enquiry on the sculpture. You may have realised how important it is to the community. Thank you to Joanna my colleague for raising it with me.
