This would seem to be factual, I'm sure I'll be corrected if not. Last place that unveiled and unknown history illegal immigrants should be housed in is near or in cities.They will be gone in 60 seconds aided and abetted by those who encouraged them to come here. We have no id cards here and a massive black economy.Yes, the process is too slow and really poor, but the risk to society as a whole is exactly the same as it is from wilful and harmful 'home' criminals for whom we have a system in place to deal with. If they are legal then they are not going to be required to be held or accommodated en masse. It would be interesting to see what happens to you if you tried that in, say, America, Australia or any other country.There are numerous reasons why countries have border controls, not the least of which is national security. But there are other considerations such as disease control and prevention of contraband entering the country.Migration is important in the wider economy but only if those entering are able to contribute something to the country. If it’s just a case of coming here because it’s nicer than home then it isn’t really a valid reason. There was a flood of Albanian migrants in recent years, despite there being no discernible domestic issue in Albania causing them to come here. It’s actua detrimental to the home country for working age people to leave. What is known is that Albanian gangs are responsible for a large percentage of organised crime in the UK, including people trafficking which is itself a horrible experience for the victims.Perhaps you could become an economic migrant to Albania? They might be short of photographers there, and indeed cycle lane experts.

Ah, but you are supposed to claim asylum in the first safe country you get to after leaving your home country. Since most ‘asylum seekers’ come via France would it not be possible for them to claim asylum there? Or indeed any of the other EU countries passed through on the way to the UK?There are genuine asylum seekers with perfectly valid cases for fleeing their home countries. But there are a lot of economic migrants who are here because they are promised a better life. Sadly for them the reality often proves different, whether they end up as sex workers or indentured into slave gangs by those who trafficked them.One of the reasons Brexit happened was because there are a large number of UK residents who felt unfettered immigration, legal or illegal, was not being addressed.

The UK won’t ever get ‘full’. That’s a common misconception.What is a problem is population increase in specific areas, particularly London as it’s the biggest draw for new arrivals. But London is suffering the prolonged neglect of services and the failure to provide sufficient, low cost housing for those who need it (and that’s a failure of Tory, Labour and LibDem administrations).There are, of course, human rights and that’s important. But there are also rules and procedures that need to be followed.

About 250,000 people left the UK as a result of Brexit so in theory there’s room for 250,000 people to come here and who we need to do jobs here. That’s about 10 years worth of rubber boats!  They wouldn’t need to house mass asylum seekers if they’d process them more quickly so the 80% or so who usually get accepted can settle down and get on with their lives. By the way, the ‘first safe country’ arrangement no longer applies now we’re out of the EU, so asylum seekers who want to come here are at liberty to do so. Meanwhile, the ludicrous Rwanda deal ‘to stop the people traffickers’ is a nonsense. The criminal gangs and rubber boats could be stopped by sending a fleet of buses over to Calais to bring people over for processing, but this government just wants to fan the immigration flames in the belief it appeals to their ‘core voters’ and distracts from all their other failings.

But WE had greater freedom to go and live and work in Europe too. It was two way travel and all some people seem to think about is stopping people coming here!  Not only that but when people do come here we  make it illegal for them to work and support themselves and enter our workforce when we have a shortage of workers in many areas from the 130,000+ vacancies in the NHS and the drivers and farm workers so we have vegetables and fruit rotting unpicked in the fields and now farmers scrubbing up fruit trees and refusing to risk planting crops.  Then there's the lack of butchers to deal with the animals raised for meat etc etc.  It seems we are the unskilled and ill educated.

I didn’t agree with Brexit but there was clearly an issue with unfettered immigration that worries a lot of people, and it’s naive to think that the majority who voted Leave were all right wing extremists. Plenty of Labour voters wanted out too, including a certain Jeremy Corbin.It’s somewhat bizarre that you argue we should be ferrying everyone over. I doubt even a Labour government would agree to that. Just how many countries do some of these people pass through that are Hostile or inhumane or underpopulated but with health economies?So why here?  Simple. Only one with no proper ID system. A benefits system slanted too towards non citizens. Public Housing prioritised for people who do not ever want UK citizenship/nationality.And an under the radar Black economy.None of these other 'civilised' and progressive countries offer such so easily.Then we have an infrastructure limited by the size and geography of this Island.Nearly 10 million too many to self sustain.A water system public or private that cannot cope with demand because far more use it than pay for it. Funding aside it is extremely costly and space demanding to meet the demand for the official population even with census based growth factored in.So like pennies, each one adds up.  But until we accept overdensification and thus over population as the core problem, not just here, but on much of the planet, nothing will be achieved for anyone anywhere apart from more war, more greed and the eventual survival of the fittest (or wealthiest)

There is of course the Dublin Agreement which we were a party to but we are no longer as we left the EEC.  The reason for the lack of investment in state infrastructure here is pure political ideology.  It has nothing to do with the number of people here.There is an increasing division between rich and poor.
