How utterly incompetent is this government?

UK population predicted to grow by a 4.7 million by 2033. 40% of our food needs come from imported food. Environment secretary Steve Reed ascribes to a plan to remove 7% of farmland and reforest it to meet climate change targets.It would be difficult to find less competent individuals dictating our future.

Tell that to the ever-increasing queues at the food banks as more and more people struggle to meet the cost of basic food items. Long-term is not the issue the need to ensure food security is immediate. Truly fed up with the apologists for this bunch of incompetents who probably never had to feed a family on a pittance or explain to the kids why there's nothing in the cupboard.

We can thank the Tories for the situation we have today where there are twice as many food banks as there are hospitals.  Hope you didn't vote Brexit.

Blame the Tories, Tory cuts, bleat, bleat, b*llocks.Are Labour and their whining supporters going to spend the entire term of this parliament, like a broken record blaming the legacy they inherited? If so they are not fit to govern.All I see is cuts cuts and more cuts which make George Osborne look competent.

There's a lot wrong with it but it has impacted price of food,  import and export costs and trade generally

The biggest issue with Brexit was all the obstacles, hurdles, barriers that were put in the way by various parties.Boris did well “to get Brexit done”, otherwise it would still be trying to fit the Is & cross Ts.Ukraine war hasn’t helped prices, that’s a major problem

I'm not the biggest Labour supporter,  actually disappointed with many of their decisions  direction but also appreciate the mess they have been left with.  Did you vote Brexit Nigel?

Take it then with that comment that you've never witnessed the queues at the food bank or people jostling for the reduced aisle at the end of the day at the supermarket. Planting a tree or allowing energy and water companies free rein to raise prices is hardly what one would expect from the "party of the people".

Hint, it was a joke there was money left of course, the UK is  nation state where money flows are measured in trillions, it's not your credit card bill...And if you think billions and trillions aren't far apart, a million seconds is about a week, a billion seconds is 31 years and a trillion seconds is 31 thousand years.
