Agree on full transparency, and most would have no problem with Ealing Council Taxpayers funding/subsidising a sport.I mean, LBE spunks LOADS on all sorts of other spurious BS, as long as it finds its Agenda.Which these Golf Clubs clearly don't?Maybe the Golf Clubs should admit loads of illegal "Asylum Seekers" for free and then relax, sit back and watch as the obscene shedloads of £££££s suddenly get pumped in?Job Done!  👌

That may well have been the case but I still don't understand what people are asking for here. If Ealing taxpayers are being asked to provide the funds to keep a golf course open, there should be full transparency on this.

To the best of my knowledge the Perivale Golf club wasn't in trouble but Ealing Council decided to close it and rewild the park! What a waste of money !

The club was in financial trouble and needed a bailout. Is the suggestion that it is supported by the council tax payer (beyond the below market rate it no doubt pays to the council as the freeholder for its lease)?

The council  have closed Horsenden Hill Golf Course,Perivale has been 'rewilded'(haha) and now this.All while still supposedly having a commitment to public physical and mental health.I think however that the commitment seems to be to make it worse.

I posted this on 19th June. Since then there was a meeting on 9th July where our lovely council confirmed that their mits are all over taking over part of the course now and more next year when the one year lease runs out. Enjoy the view of the course in Greenford Road while you can as it will be towers in a few years time.
