Help need pics of northfields ave

hi ya im writing a book about northfields ave and west ealing in the 70s and 80s but need photos of the shops but cannot find any tried all the usual places PLEASE HELP im 43 yrs so i lived in northfields since 1970 the book is finished but i just need about 40 photos of northfields and west ealing i remember all the shops in northfields ave and got a full list since 1970 thru to 2010 every shop can anyone please help me i will even put your name in the book !!!!!!andy

Council Tax Payments

Anyone attempting to pay council tax by telelephone, or on line,should beware that when paying by Credit Card, you will be charged an extra 2.5% for the privelege ! I tried to pay the £681 due for the next six months on the same day that the demand arrived,and was told at the end of the automated transaction that an extra £17.025 would be deducted for the card transaction. I cancelled immediatly and sent a cheque by 2nd.class post.

Can anyone recommend a Financial Advisor in or near the Ealing area who is good at their job, honest and talks plain English not some language that is only spoken in their profession. I hate all this stuff and need to have plain, comprehensible language so that I know what's what?

Gunnersbury park for exclusive private school?

Cut and Pasted from the Brentford TW8 forum. Cannot see it on the Ealing version but it is an Ealing issue, especially as the area in question will affect teh Ealing /Acton part of the park first.It's possible that this could be the beginning of the end of the park as a public park. I read this today in this evening's standard. What on earth is happening to society. I know some of you on this forum will not find this shocking and will start screaming the political correction debate. But come on guys, is this normal. Even some of you will start saying it is a free society. Every man to his own. A man has been banned from visiting every single farm in the country after he had sex with a goat.Robert Newman, 23, admitted the offence at a farm in Wiltshire in April.He pleaded guilty at North West Wiltshire Magistrates Court in Chippenham and was released on bail.Newman, of Devizes, Wilts, was ordered to keep away from farm animals and stay indoors after 7pm.He had been due to stand trial but changed his plea to guilty and will be sentenced on September 12, after a pre-sentence report has been prepared.Newman must obey a curfew between 7pm and 7am and is not allowed to enter any land where farm animals are kept.In a similar unrelated case, last year father of three Nicholas Saunders was convicted of having sex with his ex-wife's dog.He was caught having intercourse with the four-year-old bull mastiff called Sasha in former wife Kelly Thacker’s bed.Saunders, of Lechlade, Glos, was placed under supervision and ordered to attend a sex offenders course.He was placed on the sex offenders register for the next five years.He was also given a four-year restraining order preventing him from entering his ex-wife’s home without her written permission or by court order.Passing sentence, recorder Stewart Patterson told him: “It is quite clear from your behaviour that night that you demonstrated distorted sexual thinking which needs to be addressed."

Remember the outrageous marketing thread on this forum by Orchards of Ealing announcing they are opening a new branch in Acton with a glitzy launch party. Well the 'party' is between 12 and 6 today (Saturday). Please go along and drink them dry without giving them your business.Is there anywhere in London that has a greater concentration of  estate agents than Putney? Where the High Street and Upper Richmond Road meets (turn left out of Putney station) on the west side I counted tonight NINE estate agents almost all in a row of shops. It makes the place looks like an industrial park. This is total madness and pushes out traders that residents need. They are a blight on the High Street and need controlling.

Trying to track down council officer Lemuel Dickie-Johnson

So this is turning into rather a large quest...I read an article saying that Lemuel Dickie-Johnson was a council officer in charge of running a pop up shop... then I met an artist who said that he was definitely the person to talk to but couldn't remember his email address or number.I couldn't find his email address or contact details on line...So I went to the council offices who didn't know so told me to try the town hall... the town hall didn't know but told me to try the library... the library didn't know...So does anyone know the contact details of Lemuel Dickie-Johnson?And if so, can you email them to me at lemd1983@gmail.com?THANK YOU!!

off to High Court for freedom of speech

Despite Ealing Council retaining an experienced human rights barrister to block me, a High Court judge has granted leave to hear my case for free speech. This all goes back to my blog about Southall. Agree, disagree or hate what I wrote, that's irrelevant.  It's about free speech and what the state can and can't seek to censor. Ealing council have spent £11,000 to date and refuse to back down. I shan't either as this case impacts on all of us. Free speech is essential to any democracy and it includes the right to say things others despise.  I broke no laws.

E2 bus extend to hounslow

There is no direct bus or tube sevice from central Ealing to Hounslow. Could not the E2 be extended to Hounslow bus station. It would save a transfer to a tube at South Ealing or a change of bus in Brentford.
