A waste of money that both Ealing council and the National Lottery could have put towards far better causes.More money towards the new northolt swimming pool for a start,the project has struggled to raise funds since day one and as a result they will have to sell off some of the swimming pools land for housing in order to raise the cash.If the previous Labour Council (who were in power for 12 yrs) was serious about the fight against obesity they would have maintained those fields before the park was built,during the period they were in power,that way they could of actually contributed something decent to peoples health.But No they build this monstrosity. instead of building a decent park the people of northolt have to put up with this thing that looks like one of those mounds from the Teletubbies.People on the otherside of the A40 already refer to them as "volcanoes", and instead of errupting peoples imagination it has only errupted the landscape of Northolt.As for the fishing lakes, I think the only thing people will fish out of those are bodies,trolleys and a few black sacks.Sorry to be the odd one out on this discussion, but those are the views from myself and a lot of people on the otherside of the A40 (Northolt Mandeville), but the council wouldnt know that because we were not consulted during the period the park was being constructed.
