Shameless Grovelling

The following message was posted on sister site ChiswickW4.com..please helpI need your help, badly. I have no mates, the importance of which will become clear in 10 seconds. I entered a worldwide competition, one where you had to make a tv ad about an enviromental issue. It was judged by George Clooney, Cameron Diaz and a bunch of D listers, either that or their assistants, assistants, assistants. Anyway out of 300 + entries I got into the top 20, now it's down to a public vote, which is where you come in ....could you please vote for me? http://current.com/ecospotYou can view the ad and vote at the website, maybe you'll recognize Chiswick village, where I live and the ad was shot.I'm not sure it's the best ad, but it's definitely one of the better ones.. Entry is called 'The Bags' by Butlieretheres a short registration process to make sure people only vote once, takes 10 secssome background: I'm the only British entry in the finals, all the other finalists are yanks. Because it had to be in the top four to get played out all over tv in the US and be part of a big online campaign for an environmental agency, so a big thanks to all you forum people that voted, it was probably the difference between 4th and 5th. I just heard that there was 550 entries and a lot of them were proper advertising agencies. So it was a huge task to get in the top twenty, then get voted fourth. So again thanks for your voting it really did help!Also weirdly enough, theres been some drama involved in the competition, The people who were well out in front toward the end of the competition got kicked out, for apparently faking votes(email addresses)..so theres a few angry ad makers around..and being the US no doubt a few lawsuits lingering.Anyway I'll update if anything else eventuates.Actually its testament to the people of this forum, the fact that I got a whole heap of votes from you lot and i don't really know you, but my actual workmates and friends, I really had to press to get them to lift a finger to vote.
