Beautiful Ealing

Driving around ealing today in the sunshine I realised how lucky we are to live in such a green part of London. The trees are ablaze in colours...green, yellow, gold, brown, red orange. Stunning.

Don't worry if you live by Ealing Broadway your view will be ruined by the glass 'thing' and everyone in all the areas about Brentford, Actonm Wembley, Kew, Shepherds Bush, anyone I leftout?

A good customer of ours had a stroke at the beginning of 2007 and lost the sight in one eye. Now he's losing the sight in the second eye. Makes you suddenly realise how much of what's around us we take for granted and what we'd miss.

High Barnet is pretty good too. I look out over the East Barnet Valley, and think who wants New England in the fall, spectacular though that is, and as a result my Carbon Footprint is nearly Zero! Certainly this Autumn with the wet Summer, it has made for a beautiful fading of the year, a poinancy that leaves one very humble, well it does me anyway.

Yes, Ealing's a good place in which to live - we're fortunate. And the new Council is making things even better as it gets going.

Agree there have been some wonderful colours this autumn and hope that our traditional appreciation of trees will continue throughout Ealing Borough.I would like to mention an exceptional thread with superb photos on BrentfordTW8 key words are "remarkable trees".

I think we are so fortunate to live in this part of the world and I agree the trees and parks are simply stunning at this time of year.If only everyone living in Ealing could appreciate what a fantastic place this is and perhaps they could make more effort to keep the streets free from litter!The Council are trying their best to keep the streets clean and tidy but I guess they are not finding it easy.It doesn't take much effort to either find a bin or take the rubbish home. Yes, I agree. Having lived in North West London for the past few years, I am quite pleased with this area. And it's buzzing with life!! I only wish I knew people around here, as everyone seems to know each other quite well whenever I go to pubs and bars, the mall, etc.

Montse, I think you're so right; Ealing's a great place in which to live - it's buzzing with life. If you'd like to meet more Ealing dwellers, you'll have to come to the next get-together of EalingToday posters - we've had a few over the last few years and they are very pleasant occasions indeed.
