Scam Phone Call??
We just wanted to alert the forum to a phone call received from India last evening. More details are on the ActonW3.com forum.Briefly it was supposedly from a loan company confirming a loan in my name. They had the name and address correct but obviously I did not apply for a loan.I said I would report this matter the the police, the reply was "This call is from India, are the Police coming over here?"I said if seomone was asking for a loan in my name then the police would be informed.When asked the name of the company it was different from the one at the start of the conversation, so were the phone numbers when I checked.This has indeed been passed on to Acton Police and they confirmed it sounds like a scam.Robert & Jean
