Graham, The King's Arms in The Grove W5 is one of the last old fashioned pubs left in that part of Ealing - quiet, comfortable and clean - no yobs, no smart-arse chavs, noisy teenagers and over loud TV and pinball machines. Courage Best and London Pride on tap. It has a very pleasant outside seating area, with attractive planters of shrubs, decent tables(that don't wobble) and comfy chairs on the pavement of what is a very quiet one-way residential road. Inside is quite spacious and clean and there's a warm open fire in the saloon. I used to go there when, in the late 50s I had digs further up The Grove. It was old fashioned then and retains the same pleasant atmosphere even now. Incidentally, 'twould be a perfect place to have an EalingToday posters get-together. Very central and safe. Ta-ra. ;-)
