Tile floor clean & polish

Does anyone know of a tile clean/polish contractor in Ealing/west London to deep clean our kitchen family room. We have large Spanish terracotta tiles, which need a thorough clean and repolished. Don't fancy doing it ourselves. Thanks.

Hi Gerry....What works like a charm is meth spirit.... put some of that in a spray bottle and use a soft cloth.....because its spirit based it makes mincemeat out of stubborn stains and leaves no residue.Getting ppl in may be expensive as its considered to be renovation work.

Thanks Andy. After cleaning with meths by hand, what does one do to seal the tiles and then what sort of polish does one then use?

Forgot to say, I'd still like a reliable local contractor to take on this work. Any advice please?

You could try Richard Bent of SafeClean - 020 8810 6767. I am sure his company will be able to help you.

That's a really good tip Andy. We've got ceramic tiles which are in need of a really good clean. Are Meths fumes dangerous at all? Will I get high?

Highly recomended if you open all windows on whatever floor the room in question is on and keep as ventilated as possible. As for the questions that Gerry asks.... you should be able to buy a good floor sealant and most of the big DIY stores...and are you sure you want to put polish down mate??? can make the floor slippery as hell !!!
