Healthcare for London Open General MeetingThe latest proposals from Dept of Health for health care in London for the next 10 years, there will be an open general meeting this Saturday (2nd Feb 2008) in Ealing Town Hall between 11am and 5pm.It will deal for possible changes to your local health provisions in Ealing as well as other parts of London, as per Lord Darsi's report.You will have opportunities to comment and put forward questions to DoH about these changes.If you have any concerns about these proposed changes it is VERY important that you attend and give your comments and views!

One can understand health authorities moving in-house facilities away from hospitals, overloaded with the rapid increase in population, but an obvious worry is that our local GPs and nearby pharmacies will be swept away into centralised and impersonal clinics - which won`t be better, safer or more accessible as claimed by the NHS leaflet, and is not a capital idea!

Robert,Why not go along on Saturday and put forward your views and comments as well as seeking the answers from NHS London.Its on between 11am and 5pm, just drop in, no need to book.Same applies to everyone!

Thanks Jim.  Do you have any latest news about the proposed multi-health centre at the Daniels development in W13?

This is not part of the Pan London consultation.However, there was senior member of staff there to ask local question like The Daniels Quarter.Someoen who is a patient at Mttock Lane spoke to David Williams (Serivces Director) about this, but I wasn't part of the conversation. The only feedback I got is that EPCT may well be having a consultation with current patients about the (possible) move.Anyone with concerns about this could go to the next EPCT Trust Board meeting (Thursday 28 February 200810am-1pm) and try and ask the question directly to the board.
