Well Shepherd's Bush Station will open again, but I fear that with the opening of yet another faceless emporium of gigantic proportions the little guys along the Uxbridge Road will disapear into the mists of time.

Why? Are they opening a big halal butcher in Westfield, together with greengrocery?

Economics Alan. Big rents little guys squeezed out. Read Samantha Covington, on the Save Shephers Bush Streets Website.
As opposed to Ealing Economics. Where big rents squeeze the big boys out too.

This is true Gavin, was it Morrisons that left among others? What are the Landlord's motives then? Because no Tenant means no rent, or am I missing something here?
Who is going to rent all this retail space, which in 5-10 years is going to be surrounded by social housing?Benefits agencies, non-UK citizen welcoming offices, medical centres for tropical diseases?
Tescos has opened in the Morrison's space and Primark are in the middle of refurbing the Bentall's/Beales space.
