Oh come now Alan - I think this "heritage Quarter" is a good initiative; after all, the area concerned is quite well presented already, give or take the many new upvc front doors and windows, proliferation of dish aerials, ill-designed front porches, fill-in buildings of cheap and shoddy construction and garden pavilion sheds of dubious occupation. Let's hope that this proposed architectural heritage area will curb future excesses of bizarre and speculative building. I hope! :-(
