Gemma, I'm sure you've tried the Geronimo slot to find a decent recommended builder in Ealing. But if you'd email me direct, I have a very good recommendation of a builder(bathrooms and kitchens are his forte) who has done work not only for us but for four of our near neighbours in the last two years - one of whom is a regular poster on EalingToday. He's Polish(no surprise there) and he lives in Ealing. Cheers.PS; He's quite busy at this time, so you'll have to wait, but he'll gladly visit you to take a brief and give you a quote(written).

I can recommend Richard Wood of Deodar - 020 8810 4521 / 07879 483 514.  He can refurb your kitchen, paint it, sort out the door and find a plumber to fix the boiler etc.

Hi, thanks for the recommend, We've contacted him, however, his builder is busy at the moment, won't be free until the end of April, and we really would like to have our work done by end of March.. well.. hopefully we can find sb. who won't charge us a mega sum..Thanks,Gem

Gerry, I must ask why no surprise he's Polish.

Quite simply Tony, I've noticed increasingly that there are many more Polish builders around Ealing, just as I've noticed that there are many more Polish restaurants and delicatessen shops in our borough. Not surprising as there's a large and well established Polish community in Ealing. On a happy note, I just love their food and I like their attitude to life in general. I do like their beers too!  ;-)

Sorry, I thought you may of meant that being Polish They work harder cost less and that their work is superior to other local builders. :-)
