Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour - in Hanwell

There's a little article in today's Daily Truth (Mail ) about the bus used in the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour having its first ever public appearance - at Hanwell Carnival!  Driven on that day  - and in the movie - by an Alf Manders.  Wonder if he's still around?  And can anyone recall being there ?
