Worst junctions?

What are your hated local manoevres? Mine by a mile is joining the slip road  going up to the Target when you come from Greenford. It is difficult to see and judge the speed of vehicles behind you to your right which have sped off the A40.I also dislike on and off slip roads as at Staples Corner, both ways with the A406.

Quite agree, most certainly the worst in the borough.

Take a holiday in Paris, Graham.  Once you've mastered this one, any other junction is easy ...(the Arc de Triomphe roundabout, Paris.  Or search Youtube for "Paris traffic".)

Is that the French idea of a roundabout? Did all traffic engineers go to the guillotine?Actually once you have survived Sabon Gari, Kano, Nigeria or Kabul, then Europe is a doddle.

I get nightmares at the thought of using the Hanger Lane Gyratory - I avoid it like the plague. Why are drivers so hurried and speedy - we can all get round it with courtesy and patience.

The grandmother of the Gyratory in Hemel Hempstead and her daughter at the White Hart in Northolt.

The Gyratory is fine. I enjoy coming up the inside lane from the A406 southbound, going right round all the cars trying to go towards Oxford and across to the outside lane to go towards Alperton. It is a satisfying manoever but the lights at Quill St are still not right.
