The Horseshoe Cafe in Hanwell

After making lots of visits to the horshoe cafe in Hanwell and having a nice meal inviting friends  and family  I live locally so want to support local buisness  I had a very diappointing visit today when i went with my 4 year old daughter and my 4 month old son in is pram . My daughter always enjoys it there and asked to go as treat i said yes but was very shocked and upset as i was refused entry due to my PRAM no real assisistance given i politley asked for somwhere to go out of the way  i was just told it would BLOCK access {NOT FIRE HAZARD } ie i fear, for lunch time trade. { but this was 11.30 and my daughter small meal and my bacon sandwich  obviously not enough venue as they waited for lunch time rush  ! I thought this was a welcoming family cafe but obviously not .Just warning all parents out there Dont go to avoid dissapointment or leave  like i did with your pram and tearful daughter  in toe !! I was told to leave my  pram outside WHERE !!!! LOTS MORE CAFES IN HANWELL  MORE INVITING FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN  but dissapointed as food usually good

Nicola, where exactly is the Horseshoe Cafe?  I will make a point of not giving them my custom - shame on them!

Cafe Gold behind the clock tower is welcoming of buggies, and I believe Cafe Expresso opposite the Rolls Royce shop has a kiddy room.

Or if you prefer the the more old english style "Bangers chips egg toms and toast" Try Ali's Cafe next to the Viaduct pub very clean and the Russian cook has got English food down to a "T" I'm sure he wouldn't mind the odd pram or pushchair.

Nicola, I'm with the cafe owner here.  The only buggies allowed in cafes should be of the fold-up variety.  Now that the Bugaboo and similar types with wheels like a tractor or 4 x 4 are the "in" choice, it's a real nightmare going into all the nice local cafe's (and shops!)without tripping over these monoliths.  Ban these beasts!

Hello all,As a regular to the horseshoe I think it does some of the best breakfasts and meals about ( vital for the morning after a late night :-)  ) I'm a friend of the family and will let Martins daughters know of the review and they may choice to respond. I've been in there many times when there were buggies and children in there so this might just be a bad one off and I wouldn't let one experience put me off some very good meals.Don

what a dinasour  you never had kids  !!!!!  mines a silver cross not tractor wheels and not big hope you got a free coffee !!! going to ban wheelchairs too  or can you re model those  wheels !!!

cafe expresso very good and very welcoming been often as  i said like to promote local buisness even Golden chip let you in with buggies !!!!!!! pity they dont have seating area.
