Pink Plastic Bags?

Around about the time Ealing delivered us several strong smelling, stout pink bags, they also posted through great wads of pink plastic bags - they put about three wedges of them through the door.Does anyone know how these are put to use?I can't remain silent about this any longer. By the way, I just played some Beatles to myself earlier - The Word - it's put my mind at ease and now I'm in a much better mood.

Aren't these the ones which were rather fetchingly modelled by a young lady on the posters - ie the garden waste bags which preceded the reusable ones?I think there must have been a problem with the stock of pink reusable bags as we were asked not to order any more for some time.

I understand that the pink plastic bags can be used until you have no more, then transfer to the re-usable ones. That is what I intend to do.

We're still using the thin pink bags for garden waste - only a couple more to go now. The new re-usable ones are great - strong, capacious and they sit upright when full. Like others have observed, our shed now smells of creosote - a pleasant change from the normal smell of damp car wash rags and old wellies!  ;-)

Yes I think we just use the old biodegradable ones until they run out.  Are there any still available in the libraries and Town Hall does anybody know?The smell of the new ones is gradually wearing off - or am I just getting used to it?  (No shed)
