It's good to see the Speaker (Labour MP Michael Martin) is so keen to eradicate sleaze that he's happy to waste £100K of tax payers money on a legal action designed to ensure that we the public cannot know what our money has been spent / wasted / used fraudulently on.Anyone who seriously believes that Mr Martin, Gordon Brown or for that matter any of the other Labour MPs & ministers who are up to their necks in sleaze actually want transparency is deluding themselves. There are many good hard working MPs. But there are also many who are useless, lack little qualification to do anything outside politics (Gordon Brown being a prime example), and these in particular don't want their comfy status quo to change. Fortunately for sleaze MPs, the public is largely ignorant and forgiving - you only have to see the lack of reaction to most of private sector pensions being destroyed whilst public sector pensions get top ups to see that Labour are safe because for the most part voters are stupid, ill informed or can't be bothered to vote.
