Acton Market Update for Sat 29th March -Give & Take Day, Composting and More...
This Saturday at the Market, you can learn all you need to know about home composting and purchase a home compost unit at a discounted price. Gary Marsland, a composting expert from WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme www.wrap.org.uk) will be at the Acton Market this Saturday to give out information about how you too can have your own composting system.Ealing Council's Waste Education Officers will also be on hand to answer questions about waste reduction and recycling.And of course, it is our monthly Give and Take Day, so clear out those cupboards and bring down your unwanted items to give away to others. Or take something you fancy - all for free. We accept good quality kitchen, garden, and other household items, toys (not broken please), books, videos, cds etc.. No electrical items, knives or clothing please. The Give and Take Day stall will be open from 12:30 until 3:30. All items must be donated before 2pm. Please note that the organisers have the right to refuse some items.Farmer's Market open 9am - 1pm. Craft Market open 10am - 4pm.Farmer's Market update: Martin the Fishman is unfortunately suffering from ill health but he's on the mend. However, we are not sure when he will be returning to Acton Market. I have sent along good wishes from all his customers in Acton.
