1st Ealing swallow

Anyone spied the first swallow in our lovely Ealing skies yet? It's so nice that Spring's on our doorstep at last. So much so, I'm offering two prizes to the first sightings of swallows over sunny Ealing!  ;-)

Don't know about Swallows Gerry, but we have a Little White Egret in our Barnet park. All the way from the Continent. Maybe I'll set up an observation Hide with Humble for company. I'll send the bearded one down the road for the elevensies!!

I thought I saw a swallow Monday evening but I'm not 100% sure so I'll forgo the Lamborghini 1st prize but thanks all the same.

Who mentioned anything about a Lamborghini - some hope!

Gerry Tan ● 6750d

But if you had mentioned it Gerry, I would have had to decline anyway because the boot is not big enough to carry my customer's goods.

Ah Peter, if one had a Lamborghini one wouldn't need to have customers surely!  Anyways, if I ever win £10million on the Lottery, I'll buy you a new Lamborghini - you choose the exact model and let Linda choose the colour, not only of the metalwork but of the real leather upholtelery!  That's a promose!  ;-)PS: would you also want a built-in cocktail cabinet in polished deep rosewood?

Gerry Tan ● 6749d

Thanks Gerry but can I exchange the cocktail cabinet for a real ale beer pump? And Linda says any colour except Barbie pink!

I think they are here but have not yet been reported.Phil Bellman would have known.http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/worldonthemove/reports/submit-your-swallow-sighting/

Interestingly, Gerry's report of the first swallow of the year comes exactly one month earlier than last year's (http://nnet-server.com/server/app/forum/ShowMessage.Asp?ID=282750).

But Tom, I haven't seen one this year yet.  :-(

Sorry, didn't read your post properly.  Keep scanning the skies!

"Guess summer is a comin'in. I've gotta feeling in m'bones it's gonna be a very hot summer this year. Hope so anyways.  ;-)"And we were so looking forward to a long hot summer too, we never, ever, got the sunshade out. Interestingly, there was a programme a little while ago that said, historically, that a good summer (2006) is followed by a cold, wet summer.
