Flight deck scenario
Can you help solve a tipsy discussion which took place last Saturday evening?Imagine a 747-200, 1/3 over the Atlantic and an alarm sounds on the flight deck. The captain wants to carry on with the flight but the first officer and engineer want to turn back, does the first officer and engineer have the authority to over-rule the captain's decision?And what would be the situation on a 747-400 where the engineer has been replaced by a dog! (one woof for carry on two woofs for turn back!)?
