Number of rail stations?

How many underground and/or rail stations are there in the boundaries of Ealing?

Acton must carry the lion's share with about eight - and not a single one of them in the centre of Acton, despite one of them being called Acton Central. Strange, that.

Railway stations, to include mainline and Underground, total 27 at the moment. Perhaps 26.5 depending where the borough boundary lies at Northolt Park, the up (towards London) platform might be in the Borough of Harrow.That begs another question.At which station in central London does the Piccadilly line become northbound? I've forgotten the answer.

Thanks Alan.  No wonder property values are so high in our borough with so many travel links.Piccadilly northwards?  Guess it must be when the line turns left(ish) from leicester Square.

We are not too badly served by road, assuming private transport, as we have  North Circular Road, and relatively easy access to M25. We've also direct links to Heathrow and St Pancras.All we are missing is barge trips along the Grand Union Canal, but I suppose route 65 to Kew is the answer, although that is the Thames.

"At which station in central London does the Piccadilly line become northbound?"It used to be at Holborn. There are still some signs there that say "Platform 3 Westbound" and "Platform 4 Northbound".  But I think that officially the line is now supposed to be all westbound/eastbound.  It certainly is internally within LU.

Would you count Ealing Broadway as two stations as it is LU and rail?

Possibly two. District Line LU (London Underground) and Central Line LU/Network Rail, although they currently share the same booking hall.The Central Line tracks were built on GWR (God's Wonderful Railway)* land which may be part of Network Rail now. * Aka Great Western Railway.
