I love BST

It is great to have light mornings and evenings again. Both times I can sit in the garden, read and enjoy a pipe.

Tobacco please :-)Anything from Freemans or where I do not pay UK tax!Anything light and aromatic. It used to be Brown's Mixture from Sandwich but he retired from business.I do also have an affinity for Presbyterian.Inside the tin is a cardboard cover over the tobaccowith the following information:"This fine tobacco originally had no name.  It was blended before the firstWorld War especially for the Very Rev. Dr. John White, sometime Minister ofthe Barony Kirk in Glasgow and Moderator of the General Assembly inScotland in 1929.  He introduced it to Stanley Baldwin, later Earl Baldwin,Prime Minister in 1923, 1924 and 1935.  He liked it so much that regularsupplies were sent down to him and it was he who suggested that it becalled PRESBYTERIAN MIXTURE."

Sorry, I should have said tobacco and not shag. There was me thinking that you northern types like to call a spade a spade and not a shovel.I used to sport a pipe when I was young umpteen decades ago - never really liked it, but thought it was manly and romantic to be seen puffing a pipe. my then girlfriends used to say my breath smelt like the bottom of a parrot's cage and would claim a pipe had as much romance as a Turkish wrestler's jock strap. i gave it up pronto! My chosen tobacco in those innocent days was Exmoor Hunt. Wonder if it's still sold now?  :-(
