Bike M.O.T

Im gonna start 2 ride my bike to my new work in Chiswick, get more healthy etc etcSo I need to dust  my bike down, give it a good oil :0)Can anyone tell me where I cud get my bike m.o.t'd to make sure its safe etc

Woolseys - very good and on the way. Also Wizzbike in Brentford.You could also learn to do it yourself - check out www.ealingcycling.org.uk - we run self help groups and there's details of professionally run classes too.

For the basics yes it's very easy.A good book from Amazon or the library will show you a lot. If nothing else you'll be able to know whether the bike is road worthy enough, or whether a fault is beyond you. If all else fails:A B CA - air - check tyres full inflatedB - brakes - check brake blocks ok (not worn and aligned ok)C - cable - check cables are not fouledClean the chain every so often.
