Paddick and the West London Tram

Apparently Brian Paddick, in the unlikely event that he is elected Mayor of London, would consider reviving the West London tram: Ealing Times article I just wonder whether this man actually wants any votes from Ealing residents?!

I'd been thinking of voting for Paddick till I saw the article this morning. He criticises Livingstone for trying to bulldoze the plan through without consultation. Surely he can see that there's been enough consultation already to tell him that we don't want it!

I think Paddick originally, and probably still does want the Oxford Street Tram. Another no no for much the same reasons as the WLT. When challenged by Andrew Neil on costs, of moving utilities etc our friend blithly informed us that it could all be recovered in 10years, and that he knew more about costing than Neil did. Well well, I didn't think they taught the costs of moving utilities at Hendon Police College, but there you go!
