Curry On Up Trafalgar

Well I support the ethnic restaurateurs, if I go to an Indian restaurant I want my curry cooked and served by an Indian, my Chow Mein by a China(w)man. If I want a Polish meal, I would want and expect that to be cooked and served by a Pole. I go to an ethnic restaurant for the full ethnic experience, not just to eat, I can do that at home.

What outdated nonsense. Are you seriously contending that with the right training most capable people can't cook to the same standard? In addition, most "ethnic" food is prepared for english tastes, so is neither authentic or what the staff in the restaurants would themselves choose to eat.

Edward, I wrote about the ethnic experience, not about the authenticity of the food.Having a Taiwanese daughter-in-law I'm very aware of the difference between ethnic and modified ethnic foods.I stated what I want from a restaurant, the restaurateurs are happy to provide it, it's only interfering, bumbling, bungling,overpaid, meddling politicians bureaucrats and petty un-civil servants, with too much time on their hands, that get in the way.

I prefer to cook my own English par excellence, roast beef. Otherwise my tastes are catholic with French and Korean tops for west and east.
