New Build on Eaton Rise

Has anyone else seen the modernist building at the bottom of Eaton Rise, formerly a set of garages?  I find it highly unattractive and not in keeping with the rest of the road. I wonder what the planning background for this was. I have not yet found any info about it on the Ealing Planning Portal.

Whilst I was on the planning site found this for you - you may have to go to the council to view the plans unless they are online unfortunately you can't access that part of the site at the momentPlanning Ref: P/2006/0592 Construction of three storey house (plus basement) (following demolition of garages), access and parking (Re-submission following refusal of planning permission ref: P/2005/3825)
