Sunglasses

Does anyone know where I can buy a pair of biodegradable sunglasses? I am forever losing mine and worry about the impact the discarded plastic might be having on the environment.Thanks

Why dont you just put them on those string things that go round the neck?  Perhaps you could put a homing device on them?

Perhaps they are biodegrading thats why you can't find them.

Barbara might just got the right idea - a "homing" device.I would suggest a homing pigeon, albeit virtual...Ealing Studios probably still have Valiant and Bugsie. They would probably be pleased to hire out either.Attach one of them to your sunglasses and the glasses will  get home sooner than the the owner.Imagine the shock to a UFO watching weirdo dressed in socks and sandals (plarstic, of course) while waiting at a bus stop near Horsenden Hill or Northala Park, whilst eating a pack of erinaceously flavoured crisps, as a pair of sunglasses, glinting in the crepuscular or moonlit sky,  pass silently by.It might take his mind off pondering about Norfolk's hydroelectric plant, council tax by weight, reallocation of Ealing postcodes...

Initially I had visions of them crumbling - (like Tescos carriers do if you try to reuse them to keep something in) - so they would have to have some definite countdown to destruction on them as on Mission Impossible, or starch which you had better not let the seagulls know about or it could end up like a scene from the Birds.Biodegradable - degradable - oxydegradable - photodegradable.  How seriously do you take what Wikipedia says?Some need a certain amount of heat, some a certain amount of light etc.  Some leave a nasty residue. It is all rather more complicated than our wishful 'just disappear with no harm done to anyone/anything'.

I tell customers who are without their glasses that they should do what I do. I keep my glasses on my nose, except in bed.

Thanks for all your replies (very funny Alan!) I lost another pair today whilst in Specsavers. I think I have been looking at this ishoo through rose-tinted sunglasses.
