"In essence you get free travel on buses, tube, overground and DLR ..."... and the (Croydon) Tram!Peter, you could celebrate by using all modes of transport on a circumnavigation of London. For example, bus to Acton, London Overground (North London Line) to Stratford, DLR via Canary Wharf (stop for lunch?) to Lewisham, Southeastern train to Elmers End, Tramlink via Croydon to Wimbledon, Underground via Earl's Court to Ealing Broadway. And all for free! (Well, not really. Each Freedom Pass costs the holder's local borough on average about £270 which has to be funded by council tax.)
