Which estate agent to use in Ealing?

We're looking to put our flat on the market in ealing broadway area and wondered if anyone can recommend an estate agent from personal experience?  We bought the place from Kfh a few years ago and wondered if we should go with them again.Any advice much appreciated.

I've dealt with Rolf East and Northfields (Northfields branch) quite recently and they were both very responsive - although neither seemed to be capable of spell checking basic details and spotting fairly obvious errors in descriptions. My dealings with Foxtons have been less positive - they seem to overvalue property to get people to swallow the 2.5% fee and minimum sole agent period, only to fail to sell the property and secure an average price (but still at 2.5%).

Ditto re Foxtons.  We've used both Sinton Andrews and Grimshaws and had positive experiences with both agents.

I'd certainly second the positive feedback regarding Grimshaws. However, my past experience of Sinton Andrews, as a buyer and seller, has been awful. Look elsewhere.

We like Robertson Smith and Kempson. Deborah Smith is very good.

I used Sinton Andrews to sell / buy a home 10 years ago. I would never use them again.

Admittedly about seven years ago, but we used Colin Bibra to sell our flat (our agent was Nigel Sumner, who is now a local councillor) and RSK to buy a house.  We were impressed by Russell Collins in South Ealing too.

It didn't go for a song then? :-)

My father sold his house in Overdale Road using a Chiswick agent called Sworn & Co. They had been renting the house for years so he got them to sell it. They got lots of Chiswick buyers round and it sold for over asking price. I recommended them to a friend who used them to sell their flat on Boston Manor Road and they got a higher price than the local agents quoted. Both sales were handled very well and I would recommend them again.
