Mattock Lane CPZ

Mattock Lane (on the north side,not the diagonal parking on the park side of the road)has become Zone A residents parking for all except extremely off-peak. ie until 7.30 Mon/Tues/Wed until 11.00 on Thurs/Fri/Sat and until 4.30 on Sundays.I can see the point in it being metered - to make money - but can't see the point of it being residents parking as all the converted houses down there have plentiful off-street parking. Proved by the fact that yesterday evening that side of the road was virtually empty.Regular patrons and members of Questors theatre will find this incredibly inconvenient - the carpark in the Broadway Centre is a pretty long hike away from the theatre.I suppose it will make Wednesday a popular night for future shows though!

Jane I found the severity of this difficult to grasp and looking up the council website noticed they are showing Mon-Thu 8.30am-7-30pm so Thursday could be a good night! However its astonishing when you think that Thursday has been thought of as for late-night shopping at a time when Ealing Broadway shops need customers, as well as penalising the Questors.

Oh yes!  Quite right.There was virtually nothing parked on that side of the street  yesterday - residents aren't going to buy permits if they already have offstreet parking are they?
