Brentford Boat Yard

I was cycling past the canal the other day and came across the boat yard.The place looked very spooky and to tell ya the truth I was glad to cycle away from it. Does anyone know anything about it? does it have any spooky history

something to do with Thornycroft boats, they made torpedo boats there I think, in the bad old days circa 1939-45
