Another Hotel!

Some three years ago Prosser & Russel(?) vacated their offices on the Western Avenue at Hanger Lane (backing on to Ashbourne Rd) because, or so they say, Ealing Council wanted to turn them into affordable accomodation. They have been vacant ever since. This Tuesday (July 15th) the builders moved in to start construction of 2 extra blocks on the site, which will be - A HOTEL!As if we didn't have enough of these in the area already...

Dare I say it but...... hotels generally have a turnover of punters who go home eventually."Affordable" (whatever that means) accommodation lends itself to long-term residency.Just twigged what "affordable accommodation means"!!!It's what the COUNCIL can afford to rent for the homeless. If the rent is above that then it's unaffordable.QED!
