Ealing forum crisis!

OK, chaps. It's finally happened. There have been MORE postings today on Shepherd's BushW12 than there have on EalingW5. Nine there and Five (well, with this one now six) here. What is this forum coming to?

Gerry off line on holiday?

Graham Weeks ● 6634d

I'm back Graham, albeit a tad jet lagged.

Gerry Tan ● 6634d

phew! all is well again and Ealing is back ahead. there's a relief. I was worried that the proper order of things was under threst "untune that string and hark what discord follows" or somesuch

Actually its caught up now Sara. The 'Bendie Bus Anachists' are cause for much discussion over there, and I confess as a loyal contributer to Ealing and Acton I have put my two penneth over there. After all I was born on the Border. Anyway the Chattering Classes south of you are still winning hands down poor dears.

Maybe the forum posters are following the shops towards White City...

James de Vivenot ● 6633d

Only 4 today so far, whats up, gone on holiday, or sleeping off an alcoholic indulgence? More likely to be that the existing contributers have spread themselves more widely over the various sites.

Colin Vaughan ● 6633d

Ealing is really my only forum.

Graham Weeks ● 6632d

Hi, I'm moving from Chiswick to Ealing soon and will bring my forum loyalty with me!

Christine Mills ● 6632d

I have a bad case of forum inconstancy, profligacy or promiscuity even...especially when working from home on something not very gripping. But have never posted on Brentford so don't count as a serious tart yet.

Sara Nathan ● 6632d

Brentford can be more fiery than Chiswick sometimes Sara, maybe your missing something.

Colin Vaughan ● 6632d

Children on holiday, demanding attention perhaps Sara?

I checked out the Shepherds bush forum after you mentioned it, Sara as there was a link at the top of a page somewhere.I won't be posting but it is pretty tempting to make a comment about the buses at their stops on the Green - halting in the middle of the second lane and blocking it as I go to take the left turn towards Acton.  There must be some accidents there caused by this jam and all the lane changes everyone does to go around the parked buses:-(

Sarah Felstead ● 6632d

Go on - be a devil Sarah and post there too. You might find it a liberating experience.Maybe it's hols, but you would have thought that would affect all the sites similarly - maybe Shepherds Bush is disproportionatly child-free

There are 232 Messages on Chiswick today is that the norm? Must reflect the vast membership size I suppose.

Colin Vaughan ● 6630d

It's often over 200 - but they have 12,000 or more members - dunno what it is here but Acton has nearly 2,000 and Shepherd's Bush fewer than 300... at last count anyhow.

Sara Nathan ● 6630d

A much lower membership number, I think gives somehow a friendlier feeling to the forum. Like a small Community where everyone knows everyone else. I must say the poor dears over there appear to have oodles of time on their hands, perhaps they should get out more!

Colin Vaughan ● 6630d

I am not sure what drives the undercurrent of niggles and envy against the Chiswick forum.  If you don't like it don't bother with it.  If you do then join in.  This is the internet you can live anywhere and be an equal member.

Tongue in Cheek Philip! Actually I think that Forum is quite amusing, and I have taken part in many amusing and also serious debates there. I suppose with the membership size you may get a wider cross section of opinion.
