I have just visited the TVU website and done a search for Unix, BSD, and Linux under computing, none was recognized as usual despite the EU complaining that there is a desperate shortage of trained persons in the UK. There are university courses available, for example Oxford, Cambridge, Lancaster, Warwick, Westminster, and Kent, but little or no help for beginners. Most people in this country are afraid to let go of their blinkers, yet the latest Apple OS X which is based on a cut-down BSD does not appear to be causing any great problems to users, most of whom are probably unaware that is true.
