Views on the Boston Manor area

Hi there, my sister and brother-in-law are considering moving back to London from East Grinstead in West Sussex and are arranging property viewings all over London, from Uxbridge to Forest Hill. She has asked me what I think to the area of Boston Manor (Cumberland Road, W7, just off Boston Road to be precise! Around 10-15 minutes walk from Boston Manor tube station.)I have never actually been to the area and am seeking the opinions of all of the forum contributors, I would like to know how safe the area is, what there is to do locally and generally what sort of feel the area has.Any responses would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

I live around there (well nearer Uxb road)  it's nice. The shops aren't as select (or expensive) as W4 but there 's a range od supermarkets from Waitrose to Lidl, an some brilliant local eateries. Obviously there are good and bad points.
