Persian Palace Restaurant

Anyone been to the new restaurant called "Persian Palace" on Uxbridge Rd ? Was it good ?Been past it a couple of times and always seems busy...

Not quite - just opposite where Daniels used to be....there are a number of similar greek/turkish places along there (Eg Ealing Mangal) but this is only about 1 month since opening. Its double fronted - where I think used to be Beirut Cafe.Looks good and busy!If it is as good as Karaam then worth going to.

ok I can place it now.  No haven't been but I like middle eastern food.  We like the Karaam too.

We went yesterday and were very pleasantly surprised.  Word of warning: the portions are HUMUNGOUS, but they give you takeaway cartons if you need them. We thought it was excellent value for money - main courses vary from £6.90 to approx £10.50, mostly with rice, salad and grilled tomato. I had the Momtaz (lamb and chicken) which was lovely. Not much choice for desserts though, but that's only a minor quibble. We'll definitely be going back!

I think there was a bar there, but I really can't remember; we just had soft drinks. Maybe someone else will know.

And if you haven't already done so why not add your feedback to the comments already on the EalingToday directory - a comprehensive listing of all the local shops and restaurants. I can cut and paste this one up for you Jackie. And for anyone else, if you haven't already had a look, give it a go.Just go to 'Eating Out' in the Leisure section of the front page. We need to keep the reviews coming.

Thanks for doing that, Charlie. I'll have a look at the other reviews as well. We're not great 'eater outers' (esp now!), but it'll come in useful whenever we fancy a change from our favourite (Haweli). Diane, I've added the review to the WEN forum as requested.

I ate there last night. Absolutely delicious - no alcohol sold but you can take your own .... The salads and breads were out of this world
