Range Rover drivers

I have recently noticed that Range Rover drivers seem more miserable than your average driver. Female drivers seem to exude a hard-faced, arrogant air, often while sporting designer sunglasses on their heads, Barbour gilets and blond (dyed) hair. Male drivers again seem miserable and appear to be at least three stone overweight, puffy cheeked and wear rugby shirts with turned up collars, chinos and deck shoes. The miserable countenance is particularly noticeable when the driver is turning left or right.I don't understand this phenomenon. Has anyone else noticed it?

"The miserable countenance is particularly noticeable when the driver is turning left or right."Of course! It's the only time those pumpkin +ve owners  are driving slower than usual. The women drivers probably screech when they are talking too!

Alan when did you first notice your obsession with female screeching? It's a very male prejudice. ;)

Barbara - I noticed female screeching years ago, Ealing South Young Conservatives for a start, not mention Uxbridge YCs!I am not saying all females screech, they certainly don't.It might be something to do with my hearing disability that the "screech" comes over more than the lower sounds. For instance I am totally deafened by jet engine noise.I suppose it may be a male prejudice partly because the vast majority of men can't or don't screech.At the risk of becoming a political bigot more Labour females screech than Conservative. That may be coloured because of their greater appearance on television. Whether "screech" is due to lack of upbringing I don't know.I suppose my real prejudice is screech ( + hard-facedness) = arrogance + pumpkin positive.Female screeching should be used exclusively for controlling children, not for addressing adults most of whom, of either sex, find insulting or at best faintly amusing.
