Recession?.....What recession?
It has been reported that our government are giving £800 million in Aid to India. India reportedly has recently landed a lunar probe (no mean feat) and the development of nuclear weapons, altogether costing billions?The question I would ask, is why are the British taxpayers subsidising India's weapons research, which this clearly is,while we are scratching about trying to look after our own people, refused medical treatment (drugs) because of cost, together with thousands losing their homes. Borrowing £60 billion from the IMF,so that greedy bankers can be bailed out of the mire, who then show their gratitude by spending some of it on a "Jolly up" for them and their employees.......absolute bloody disgrace!Meanwhile in the Congo, mothers have to watch their babies dying through a lack of food, or worse still no water, clean or otherwise, not even plastic sheeting for a rough shelter from the elements. Many mothers have, and are still being raped by soldiers both from the government and the rebel sides. And I read that from recent polls Gord is recovering some of his lost credibility....can somebody tell/explain how this has come about, particularly giving vast amounts of money in "Aid", can we afford it?
