Christmas lights in pitshanger

Does anyone know when they will be turned on?

"Light up the Lane" is scheduled for Saturday 6th December 5.50pm to 8.30pm with mince pies, mulled wine and shops remaining open.This is organised by Pitshanger Community Association and Pitshanger Traders and any proceeds are to local projects and charities.www.pitshanger.org.uk

More info;- Pitshanger Lane is closed to traffic and taken over for an evening of fun and entertainment. After the ceremonial switching on of thousands of lights there is a continuous programme of songs and dancing on stage, by local groups, and strolling entertainers and side shows!Saturday 6th December 5.50pm to 8.30pm

I was thinking of taking my 2 year old son this year. Is it quite child friendly in terms of entertainment/events?
