Manor Cars

Anybody out there use Manor Cars? I've used them for years and they have always been great - reasonably priced and reliable, but I suspect the business may be under new management, or I just got a rogue controller. I called them from Wembley Stadium on Sunday to ask them to collect me in 35 minutes. We agreed a pick up point. When I got there the driver had gone. They'd called my wife on her mobile, but she hadn't heard the phone, so they packed up and went.The controller was rude when challenged about his driver's decision to drive off so, after 20 or so years of good service I won't use them again.

Yes I use them a lot - especially for airport pick ups. They are OK but not exceptional- and the last driver I had charged me £35.00 from heathrow ! He said the plane was late, I said he should have checked online, or else why did he ask for flight number, time etc when I booked ?

I think there is some change at Boston Manor Cars. I used to use them and think they were part of the Matrix group - a large private hire firm that has lots of company accounts (GSK, Diageo, etc.). They used to recognise me from my call - from my mobile number - and had all my details. They were always good - on time, easy to book with, etc.Suddenly, about 3 months ago (?), this changed. No recognition, no-one knew where I lived, late/clueless driver, etc. It is very much like the old system they had is gone - so it looks like they are no longer with Matrix.I've stopped using them.
