... could only be expanded by 'bin lining' all the traffic cameras ? What?Surely the idea is to get as much illegal traffic into Ealing so it can be caught? No self-respecting Conservative council would try and encourage people to spend money they haven't got? :)

Don't think it applies to the main multi-storey, does it?

Spingbridge Multi-storey car park is included - the Ealing Broadway Centre isn't as it is not owned by the Council.

Re What a sensible idea! :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in conjunction with the heading Sarah, you have given a hint of what is " on offer " , but exactly what does the article you refer to say, eg where, when and any limitations? Thanks

The traders on Ealing "farmers" market get free parking 52 Saturdays a year, while the local rate paying shopkeepers have to try and dodge parking attendants to load/unload and make deliveries. If the Council really want to help local businesses survive, give us an even playing field.

I hear that Wickes in Hanwell is offering free parking after 12 noon everyday as long as you park away from the main entrance allowing their customers to park close to the store. They have not changed the signs in the car park but I have seen the email sent to Ealing Council confirming the arrangement. Not a hotstop for parking but you never know when you will need to avail of the offer.

Well if you think Jason Stacey is being generous think again, it's just a way of handling the 2½% reduction in VAT.Poole council are open about it and are stating that they are giving free parking because of the reduced VAT.http://www.boroughofpoole.com/news/ref:N4959EDE6C4EA9/
