New Year Honours for a GREAT Man

Adrain Cave the former Chair of Ealing CVS is to recevied an OBE for his hard work for the past 15+ years. His achievements included:* Recruited a VERY talented CE for ECVS* Planning of the Ealing Community Resource Centre* Steering the whole project throught* Finally got it build in 2007* Set it (free) as an independent organisation in 2008He is more than just a "Chair" he is above and beyond call of duties in his role. Unfortunately ECVS has lost this GREAT man due to "personal" reasons. A Very well deserved award!(IMHO)

I agree - extremely well deserved.  I spoken to Adrian on New Years Eve and he is delighted. Also pleased to hear that Sian Vasey, Director of Ealing Centre for Independent Living is also to become an OBE.Anyone know of any other Ealing residents honoured?

Excellent when someone as dedicated as Adrian gets recognised for the huge amount of work that he has put into the community.  I had an enjoyable time working with Adrian on a large community project many years ago.
